You can hook up your own music server like Sonos Speakers or Pioneer to the Loxone system.
The music server has four zones and costs about $2,200 ($1,300 for the music server and $900 for the amplifier). This setup allowed you to control music in each room with a Loxone switch and speakers installed in the ceiling. We were able to see how they integrated two amplifiers and a music server to bring music throughout the house. It's nice feature: If your home loses power, this back-up keeps your system up and running. The system runs off a home's electricity but comes with its own power supply for its low voltage LED lights. The one drawback? Loxone needs to be installed by an electrician. Invited to one of their custom smart homes, we took a look at their technology in action.
One such firm is Loxone, an Austrian-based home automation company that has just entered the United States market. But other companies are building custom solutions, with every device networked together seamlessly. digital assistants are certainly the big players, letting consumers use their voice to control multiple smart home devices on one platform. But the big question for home owners is: What's the best way to control these devices? Amazon Alexa and other A.I. However I don't understand how those commands are sent.Smart home technology is advancing with innovative devices coming to market every day. How do you send those commands? I can see a file in the official loxone page full of virtual outputs, etc. And if i like to search for a specific song or like to to fancy stuff ill use the sonos app either way. 99% Of the time i like to just "activate music" and the sonos plays the last Station or playlist it played before. Im using it that way since 8 weeks now and must say that i love it! I do not miss anything integrated in the app or server. I put my concerns away and started to use it: This makes it extremly uncomfortable to controll the "fancy sonos" stuff out of loxone or the loxone app. But it is different!Īll you can do is to select specific commands like "PLAY","STOP","LOUDER". Because on you can read something like "sonos full supported blablablabla" and I was thinking, that it is completly integrated to the app with song and radio selection, cover thumbnails and all the fancy stuff you know from other music apps. First i was a bit embarrassed too about the sonos integration.
